Manse Expansion Update
October 26, 2011

We're on a downhill prance at the Manse!

It's unbelievable what a difference a few months makes. Volunteers too numerous to mention have finished painting and staining the walls, trim and doors and Marc Brennan and Ken Stasco are installing all trim, doors and the kitchen cabinets. They should be done within a couple of days. Don Summers is completing the tile work in the master bathroom and around the fireplace and the floor installers are done installing vinyl tiles in the mudroom, kitchen, dining area and downstairs bathrooms.

Mark Pronovost is finishing up the electrical and the plumbers will return soon to finish the plumbing. This week volunteers will be moving furniture out of the old living room and pulling up carpet to fix up that area. Chuck Wolf will be building the deck with others (Ken Moran and maybe Joel Rogers?) and Bob the Builder (Stuart) has plans for steps, shelving and stained glass installation.

The carpet will be going in soon (can you believe it?). The appliances will go in shortly after that.

Geoff Elliot is working on the certificate of occupancy with the town so we can get the Heils in when the project is done. And other people behind the scenes are working to complete this project this fall.

We have tentatively set a grand opening, thank you volunteers and donors, and welcome home Heils party the first week of December. We'll let everyone know the specifics as we get nearer to the date.
Thanks to all who have supported this project with prayers, donations and sweat. This includes our Pastor David. We could not do it without you.

Sincerely,

Manse Expansion/Improvement Committee
